I was very interested to read your Buyer Beware blog. We also were victims of the same contractor and our hopes for a retirement home became a nightmare. As I read the story it was like reliving the whole thing over again. It was a sad realization that a supposed agent for a company can create such havoc and there is no recourse and the companies sentiment is its not my problem. My question is why does he get away with this over and over again? He took our money for our project and admittedly used it elsewhere. How has this affected his life? When we should be retiring we are struggling to finish a home by ourselves because he took our money and will be saddled with debt that was never expected for years. I know that there are more victims beyond us, all of us lost money, where did all that money go? When vendors call to say that they were not paid, I have to wonder, has he benefited from all the cash that went missing?
